If you are a member of the romance book community, you know that attending author signings usually sets up a memorable weekend for all involved. Hop Cop is full of snarky humor and inside jokes for authors and readers of the romance community. As I read the novel, I thought to myself that I’d likely attended the same signings as K.J. and Rhys. I felt like I knew both them and their circle of friends, people who are dealing with that thing called RL, but also taking the time for creative pursuits and chasing their dreams. The characters in Hot Cop are relatable, funny, and overall good people.

Even better, a portion of the proceeds from Hot Cop will benefit Basketball Cop Foundation. This charity aims to build relationships between law enforcement and youth through trust. This is done primarily by supporting law agencies with sports equipment that is then passed from patrol officers to youth they interact with on the streets.

I’ll always happily recommend a book that also supports a worthy cause, but if you’re also looking for something light and funny, scorching and sweet add Hop Cop to your summer reading list.

Fun, fast paced, realistic, hard to put down! I loved Rhys and Kelsey! This is Aubree Valentine’s Best Book yet!!

Love it! Its halarious, keeps you on the edge of your seat and leaves you wanting more. I love that Rhys really matches up with Daniel's social media personality and his looks are as described from the cover. I cant wait until Cop Tease comes out!!

It's funny, romantic and has substance in how the romance book author, K.J. Pierce, meets, Rhys Mitchell, the viral photo Hot Cop turned book cover model! WOW!
You won't want to put this story down as you are let in on a sweet, little secret that materializes between them. The chemistry is SIZZLING and the banter keeps you smiling to yourself right out of the gate.
I LOVED it and cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Before I start, just wanted to warn you there may be a SPOILER ALERT in here. I'll try not to though.

I stumbled across the author one day and thought she was very fun, down to earth and that I had to see what her books were about. I chose her newest release Hot Cop because who doesn't love a man in uniform? Hello!

What I discovered was a book that kept my attention; made me feel for both the Hot Cop (Rhys) and the female lead (KJ, aka Kelsey); had great interactions and subplots as you get to know both main characters and gave me an ending I was hoping for and a sub-ending that made me want more from two supporting characters.

I wasn't too keen on the secret that was kept though. I must admit that had I known going in about that nugget, I probably would not have read the book. I am so glad I did though.

This is a book I will be reading again, especially when the 2nd book in the series comes out.
Kelsey is an author and after a weekend of steamy sex is hurt when Rhys walks out. It turns into a steamy romance novel. She hopes to avoid Rhys at the book con, but as I mentioned Fate and Murphy are a biatch and he's at the table next to her. Can she keep her hormones, and other secrets, in check and avoid the one man she can't stop thinking about?

Rhys is a SWAT officer who, after a single picture goes viral, tests the waters as a cover model. As the weekend for another book convention begins, the one woman who has plagued his dreams and fantasies is the one woman he pulls over for speeding. He knows she's avoiding him, but the sparks are there from that second and he's determined to win her over. Because he wants more with her.

Another weekend of steam and then a late night escape leads to Rhys tracking her down. But what he finds is not nearly what he expects. Can they find a happy relationship with the secret Kelsey has been hiding? Do distance and time make the heart grow fonder? I can tell you that the author had me laughing so hard I was in tears and my family looked at me like I'd lost my mind. I absolutely enjoyed this story, with so many relatable moments that I couldn't help but laugh, smile, and cheer for the couple. My one complaint... The massive cliffhanger at the end of the story. The one time I wanted to scream, rant, and rave. Now I have to wait to see what happens next because I absolutely must know what happens!
