Forced on a quest they didn't ask for and barely understand.

Contagious picks up right where Fire Starter left off, only this time we are told the story from Brian's point of view. If you enjoyed the first book in the series then you won't want to miss this one. The teens struggle with not only with relationships and school like most kids their age, but with a secret that is increasingly complicating their lives—and often placing them in peril. Added to this is a new character, and he certainly doesn't make things any easier. Twists and turns abound as the otherworldly mystery continues to unfold.

Once again the author delivers a very believable job as she brings the characters to life narrating her own audiobook. This couldn't have been an easy task as the lead character this time is male, but the author did such a convincing job with the narration that it was easy to forget that the narrator is female.

Fluorescence Contagious eBook P Anastasia Reviews

I definitely feel like the rebellious Brian that was hinted at in the previous book came out really strongly in this book. This book was a lot more aggressive because it was from Brian's point of view. I liked that he was willing to make brasher and harsher decisions than Alice was in book 1.

Even so, I feel as if this book is still lacking a bit of substance somewhere. I think this is mostly due to not knowing the full stakes of the fluorescence and the Saviors. We're given a bit more information in this book of how they're spreading the fluorescence, but the stakes weren't conveyed strongly enough. I've spent two books not understanding much of anything about the fluorescence outside of the main character's powers, colors, and purpose to spread/start this alien DNA. At this point, I expected to be much more in the loop with a good grasp on the stakes involved.

That being said, I'm glad they finally got out of high school. It's a personal preference that I don't like reading too much about high school and ordinary life, so I'm glad they're on the run. The end of the book amped up the stakes a bit so I'm wanting to read the next one. I'm most excited for Kareena's point of view. She's still my favorite.

Overall, this book was good but still lacking in areas for me.
It held my attention fairly well. Quite a far-out-there concept...

Author of four novels including Min's Monster
Volume II of the Fluorescence series, Contagious, was a great read.....I am looking forward to the next installment to continue the personal journeys of the main characters --- all of whom see the world in which they are being forced to live quite differently. The addition of David in a "supporting" role has added to the drama.
I found out I did not quite understand what this book was all about, but when I finished it , I felt I wanted to know more. Hope to read another book that follows this one.
It was as good as the first book can't wait to read more.
This is a very creative series that just gets better the deeper you get into the story. I felt like the characters were more naive in the first book, they grew up since then. I can't wait to see what happens to them in the next book.
P Anastasia has done it again with her Fluorescence Contagious Volume 2. Just when you thought things were heating up in the first volume, volume two will definitely have you biting your nails. This time, Alice's boyfriend -Brian Azure- is telling the story about alien DNA dwelling inside their bodies. This book really let's the readers know on how the characters are feeling and how they deal with the sudden obstacles that keep coming their way. Throughout the whole book, I felt like I was part of the journey as well while dealing with the pressure. Despite them being only teenagers, they act really mature with the decisions that they make, however they may face some harsh consequences soon. This sci-fi adventure continues to get more intense and thrilling. As soon as you reach the end, you will be prepared to order the third volume of the Fluorescence series.
You won't be disappointed.
