Hard Target by Kris Norris was filled with excitement, adventure and super hot sex scenes that I did not want to put the book down. This book read like an action movie and what an adrenaline rush it was! Kyle is an ex-agent who's called upon to stop a rogue commander from releasing nuclear chemicals with the help of Taylor, an ex-ranger turned mountain climbing guide. Kyle and Taylor must climb mountains and glaciers in bad weather in order to reach the cave where Jack and his men are hiding. Things are far from smooth but they come together as danger lurks. Both Kyle and Taylor have suffered great loss and you see them struggling to move on with their lives. I felt an emotional connection to them and was rooting for them all thru the book to get the bad guys as well as to fall in love. You see that Kyle is a dominant male in the bedroom, but he shows a tender, caring and protective side when Taylor is in danger or hurt that it touched my heart. Taylor is a strong, passionate woman who's not afraid of anything and will do whatever it takes to watch Kyle's back in dangerous situations. The secondary characters were fascinating as well and I really enjoyed what they brought to this story. I thought the characters were well developed, the mountain climbing scenes well written and the sex scenes descriptive and sexy. I absolutely loved this book.Product details
